I've always been drawn to the quiet moments of city life. "Nighthawks" is about the isolation one can feel, even in a bustling city. It's inspired by a diner on a desolate street corner.

They're more symbols than specific people – embodiments of urban loneliness. The idea was to capture people in a shared space who are, in essence, alone together.

That's a keen observation. I wanted the light to create a stark contrast, highlighting the isolation of the figures against the dark, empty streets outside.

The color scheme was intentional. The bright interior against the dark night creates a sense of drama, emphasizing the loneliness of the urban night.
